Role


·         Development and management of the compliance and corporate secretarial areas of the company


·         Oversight of the company’s risk management, corporate and compliance functions.


·         Ensuring that the respective risk management and compliance programs address all applicable laws, rules, regulations and relevant business risks as well as corporate requirements


·         Develop, implement, review and revise risk management and compliance policies, procedures and systems within the business area


·         Monitor applicable regulatory changes and provide effective change management within the business area to address such changes


·         Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, internal and external advisors and other internal control groups on risk and compliance related issues


·         Manage the traditional funds corporate secretarial functions, including corporate documentation review and preparation, fund registration, board meetings and new investment market openings


·         Provide appropriate support to business development and management teams


Profile


·         Strong experience in fund services industry


·          Relevant qualifications (degree in law, economics or accountancy)


·         Minimum of 3 years in a similar position


·         Practical knowledge of compliance


·         Good understanding of operational controls framework


·         Understanding of corporate secretariat


·         Desire to provide a superior internal and external client service


·         Excellent interpersonal skills


·         Must be well organised and detail orientated


·         Strive to constantly improve processes


·         Ability to prioritise issues at the company level


·        Proficiency in English, French and German are an advantage
