Senior Engineer, Azure Data Management

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Execution of the strategy defined for Cloud Data and BI Platforms (Data Factory, Databricks, ML, etc.)
• Implement the defined organization and the necessary steps for the evolution in the data platform architecture
• Partnering with the Cloud Center of Excellence team on continuous development of cloud data infrastructure and related models
• Manage Data & BI users across the company for data access and modeling
• Integrating requirements with the Business Process / Product Owners to define and evaluate process enhancements and translate user requirements into technical specifications to develop / deploy
• Mentor, coach, and train employees on data best practices
• Build a data landscape and capability including the administration and configuration of the platform
• Designing SES Data Governance initiatives and leading data management
• Analyze streams as part of this initiative

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

• Bachelor’s degree and 9 to 12 years of experience in Computer Science, Information systems, or equivalent field of study (a combination of experience and education will be considered)
• Advanced experience in Azure Data Lake, Databricks and Data Factory
• Experienced with Python and SQL
• Experience in managing, manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets from multiple sources
• Fluency in English, other languages are considered as valuable assets

Preferred

• Experience with PowerBI
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, especially agile methodologies, coding standards, build processes, testing, and operations
