Astel Medica is a rapidly growing Belgian pharmaceutical company.

Founded in 1988 in collaboration with the University of Liège, Astel Medica is a leading Belgian manufacturer of innovative symbiotics.

To support its development, Astel Medica is seeking an Export Manager for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

As an Export Manager, you will be responsible for developing Astel Medica's international sales. Your main mission is to manage the sales strategy for all markets (except BELUX) and to optimize your customer portfolio.


You will be responsible for anticipating customer needs and conducting appropriate market research. Additionally, you will participate in commercial negotiations with distribution networks and work to build customer loyalty while seeking out new partnerships through prospecting.


Your attendance at international trade shows is an opportunity to establish new contacts. You will also be responsible for meeting financial targets and ensuring the profitability of your portfolio. Finally, as an export manager, you are responsible for reporting on your activities to management.


In your role, you are responsible for the following tasks (non-exhaustive list):


  • You will contribute to defining development strategies and targets for physical and e-commerce channels for exporting the entire Astel Medica range
  • You will be responsible for expanding sales activities in several international markets. Priority will be given to European markets (France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands), but also to well-defined markets outside Europe (follow-up of existing customers and prospecting)
  • In collaboration with line management, you will ensure the follow-up of current business through the existing customer network
  • You will perform routine tasks such as order forecasts, product surveys, requests for information, in coordination with other company departments (general management, R&D, sales administration, ...)
  • You will conduct competitive analyses on the various markets under consideration and propose a market-specific approach; On this basis, you will prospect for new customers
  • You will coordinate marketing plans with different customers based on specific requests
  • You will negotiate contracts based on conditions discussed and agreed with your line manager
  • You will listen to customers and respond to their needs (email, telephone, teams or on the road)
  • You are responsible for responding to calls for tender
  • You will travel frequently to meet customers, as required, to contribute to the successful development of the export business and to achieve development objectives
  • You will participate in trade fairs abroad and represent the company at international events in and outside Europe (e.g., Awex Missions)
  • In collaboration with the person in charge of regulatory affairs, you will participate in product registration and marketing authorization files, and in the registration of the company's brand outside Europe

 

| Your Profile |


  • You have a degree in commercial management with an international orientation
  • You have 4 years of experience as an Export Manager or in a similar position
  • You have excellent knowledge of foreign pharmaceutical markets
  • You are familiar with marketing and sales techniques
  • You have good negotiating skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to different cultures
  • You have sound knowledge of commercial law and international taxation
  • You are available and flexible to deal with the frequent travel required by this position
  • You have a sense of responsibility
  • You are often described as results-oriented, organized, a good communicator, and competitive
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and French. Any other language is an asset
  • You are comfortable using the Office Suite
