As a part of the sales organization the position is combining both technical and business responsibilities related to a strategic product segment which requires a strong application expertise/understanding and offers a significant growth potential.

At this position you will have a pivot role and will undertake coordination and communication with multiple interlocutors both internally and externally.

Your role and responsibilities will be as followed:

Accounts Management & Business Development

  • Ensure sales growth and premium customer service level
  •  Travel and meet customers to develop & maintain proper customer relationships and understand market situation and requirements
  •  Identify business development risks & opportunities
  • Set and implement consistent account strategy & roadmap aligned with the division targets.
  •  Develop & manage global agreements & strategic projects (new products, productivity, pricing)
  • Define, implement & maintain dedicated pricing strategy and architecture
  • Lead customer specific RFI & RFQ including various surveys and compliance reporting (RoHs, Environment, Quality, Financial…)
  •  Coordinate global activities with head office, manufacturing plants, Regional Sales Organisation and Central Sales Administration and make sure commitments are met
  • Implement, harmonize, and track global technical specifications, procurement and sourcing processes & supply chain requirements
  • Support customer with technical & sales support and after sales services
  • Implement, monitor & improve the performance indicators (sales, supply, quality…)
  • Closely cooperate with Regional Sales Organization for daily business activities, local implementation of the strategy, customer relationships management, support and reporting
  • Focus efforts on Key Accounts within the industry

Segment Management

  • Ensure products, business and market share development for the segments
  •  Ensure segment growth & profitability and lead related actions when needed (standardization, design to cost, process improvements…)
  •  Perform market analysis and investigate new applications
  • Marketing plan development for each application
  •  Set Product & Sales strategy for the segment (product definition & positioning, pricing, distribution channel, promotion…)
  • Product selection & sourcing manufacturing location
  •  Identify and select potential growth markets & customers
  •  Lead budget preparation for the segment aligned with production and planning capabilities
  • Support creation of marketing materials and perform detailed technical presentation


  • Holding a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Management and/or Engineering Degree (or equivalent) 
  • Having a technical background and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and systems 
  • Having a minimum of 2 years industrial and/or technical sales and marketing experience in a B2B environment, preferably in Materials Processing industry 
  •  Speaking fluently English and either French or German. Any other language is an asset 
  • Having solid knowledge of SAP and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills as well as effective interaction at all levels and across diverse cultures 
  • Showing proven leadership abilities, organization and time management skills 
  • Being able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and prospects 
  • Having strong analytical skills / problem solving focused, decision making 
  •  Willingness to travel 20-40% of the time, internationally
