Our Client is one of the 3 fund management company in Luxembourg in terms of assets under management and he is a member of leading international asset manager. Our client is looking for a Business Advisory Analyst (for a temporary contract of minimum 6 months), who can support the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and compliance team of the fund management for this company.

The candidate has different tasks. He cooperates with AFC colleagues in Luxembourg and acts as backup during absences. The candidate acts as a direct contact point for staff of the fund management company to raise concerns in a confidential environment in relation to AFC matters when improper activities are suspected. He has to build a good culture of AFC awareness within the fund management company, including appropriate education and training. He is supporting AFC risk assessments and implementation of mitigating actions and advising business divisions on daily AFC matters.
The candidate assists the team Head in all company AFC. He conducts negative list checks embargo related investigations as well as namelist screenings. He is assisting on reviews and sign-offs of KYCs and in coordination with front offices, AML relevant transaction monitoring and has to regular quality testing in accordance the client standards. The candidate is also able to advise employees and Senior management on the impact of new Luxembourgish and international AFC related laws and regulations as well as new AFC standards of the client. He is cooperating with AFC colleagues in Luxembourg and acting as backup during absences.

The ideal candidate have a relevant university degree or banking apprenticeship and he has between 1 to 4 years experiences in an asset management related environment and ideally in AML and or compliance. He has good knowledge with AFC related laws and regulations in the area of asset management, including international laws and of the asset management related product range available in Luxembourg, specifically the alternative investment area.

Finally the candidate has to be able to work in a matric organizational structure, so he needs an excellent computer literacy, specifically with regard to Microsoft Office and has the ability to partner within the AFC organization and peers of other advisory, risk and control functions as well as Senior Management. Integrity, discretion and have a proactive approach are the softs skills required for our client. English is mandatory for this job, French and or German skills will be an advantage
