Our client, an international company specialising in the financial sector, is looking for a temporary worker for the role below : Financial Market Specialist.
The candidate supports the team in the Financial Sector and Market Analysis division, and reports to the Head of the Financial Sector and Market Analysis.
Main responsibilities :
- Monitor and analyse financial market developments affecting financial institutions' valuation and market funding access.
- Interpret signals from fixed-income and equity markets to contribute to market intelligence discussions.
- Comment on market trends and develop fundamental analysis for major financial institutions in the euro area.
- Develop and use databases, analytical tools, and models to provide insights into economic and financial market developments and risks in the euro area.
- Conduct high-quality research on systemic and macroeconomic risks related to the banking sector and financial markets.
- Support interactions with economic and research teams from peer organisations globally, including other relevant institutions.
- Produce notes and reports to aid in monitoring and analysing economic and financial developments in the euro area.
- Master's degree in economics, banking, or finance; CFA and/or PhD are strong assets.
- At least six years in financial market analysis, preferably in investment banks, asset management firms, international financial institutions, central banks, or relevant authorities.
- Strong skills in :
- Analysing the banking sector and market information using databases like S&P Capital IQ, Fitch Connect, Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, Dealogic.
- Data handling and statistical techniques.
- Transforming data into persuasive written and oral arguments.
- Drafting technical documents and presenting information professionally.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English with good drafting skills.
- Flexibility, autonomous, and a results-oriented approach.
- The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
