Senior accountant M/F

Our client an international group, specialized in life insurance, and is currently looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their financial team in Luxembourg.

In this position you report directly to the Head of Accounting of the Luxembourg entity. You are responsible for the day to day accounting, bookkeeping, monitoring of daily cash management. You participate in the preparation and control of external and internal reporting and reporting (Participation in the preparation and control procedure of the internal and regulatory reporting).
In a second hand you assist in the preparation of the annual accounts in the context of the annual accounts audit and prepare and control of balance confirmation and reconciliation with credit institutions and affiliates at the end of the month / quarter and the year-end closing process (dealing with the balance confirmation letters for banks and related parties at last and especially for the year-end closing process).
You are in charge of acquisition of VAT returns and preparatory work (dealing with VAT related issues and declarations) and responsible for the publication of the annual accounts of the companies (responsible for publishing the statutory accounts).

In order to succeed in this function, the ideal candidate has a confirmed experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role ideally gained here in Luxembourg, or across Europe. We looking for a senior profile with strong accounting knowledge coming from accounting/finance department environment as a tax accountant or company/commercial accountant.
