Product Engineer
Function:
You support our customers as from the quoting of the different projects until the final clarification through to final design. You:
- Support the District Manager to get the order in;
- Assure projects are clarified and possible optimizations are explored with the client before quoting;
- Provide quotes on a timely basis to meet or exceed deadlines;
- Verify quote requests as to the feasibility, propose eventual quote rejects to superior;
- Perform design engineering of orders including final project clarification through to final design ensuring customer quality and lead time requirements as well as internal quality requirements;
- Respect the national design regulations as well as the internal design manual guidelines and rules;
- Check and sign of final erection drawings;
- Issue SDI in due quality and time;
- Use references or design software as appropriate to improve the competitiveness of quotes;
- Keep a quote log and conduct a regular review on hit rates of quotes;
- Work in compliance with the company’s strategy, policies, and rules;
- Ensure acknowledgements are made and send back signed by the Client before giving the job to production;
- You bring the project to maturity (full technical clarification including 3D model) until the project is ready to be transferred to start engineering “B” and complete execution.
Profile :
- Engineering qualification (Master degree, Bac+5) and the ability to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts;
- You have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
- You have an expertise in the field of steel construction and structural steelwork;
- Fluent in English + fluent French and/or German;
- You understand and identify customer issues and effectively communicate and resolve these with solutions from our product portfolio, whilst also identifying potential enhancements, modifications and upgrades that could benefit our customers. Having the possibility to influence the proposed solutions, you can actively seek ways to continuously improve products and services;
- You are a highly motivated, passionate person with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills;
- You possess superior relationship building and interpersonal skills and are driven by customer satisfaction;
- You are a natural problem solver with a can-do attitude;
- You are enthusiastic and energetic. You have the dive and commitment to succeed. You are result oriented contributing to sales performance while closely watching the operational excellence scorecard;
- You have excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills; you can work independently on a wide variety of projects.
