 We are currently looking for a motivated Quality Referent (m/f) to strengthen our Anapath service for a fixed-term position of two years on a full-time basis.

ABOUT THE LABORATOIRE NATIONAL DE SANTÉ

The « Laboratoire national de santé » (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS consists of four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection. In addition, the LNS is also hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics. The LNS has its premises in Dudelange since 2013.

The mission of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases and to ensure the role of a national control or reference laboratory as well as to carry out forensic tasks. The institution also contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of technical laboratory methods in close collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. Within the scope of its responsibilities, the LNS is also leading research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

With its modern infrastructure in line with the recent evolution of medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory with innovative projects that increase its expertise in public health.

MAIN TASKS 

• Inform and train the laboratory staff in the respective quality domain;
• Collaborate with managers to uphold the service’s direction in accordance with the requirements of the established quality system;
• Work closely with the LNS quality officer and the quality coordinator of the department, collaborating and seeking guidance on quality-related matters;
• Establish and promote/execute continuous improvement of the service’s QMS;
• Oversee and participate in the documentation process;
• Oversee and execute the process for handling non-conformities, complaints and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Tracking quality indicators;
• Participation in internal and external audits of the service;
• Preparation of management review;
• Management of risks and opportunities;
• Supervision of metrology in collaboration with the service’s metrology referent and the metrology officer of the LNS.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES 

• Master Degree in Quality or relevant experience in the field;
• Proven experience in an accredited or certified environment;
• Training according to the norms applicable in the service (ISO 15189);
• Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: French, German, Luxembourgish;
• Responsibility, accuracy, rigor, dynamics, methodological skills;
• Organisational, priorization, decision making and goal-oriented working skills;
• Team spirit.
