We are looking for a
Head of Plant Design / Implementation (m/f/d)
Based in Luxembourg, you will lead the Plant Design department and represent the central contact during a bid and execution phase of a project with regard to quality, costs and schedule. As the head of the team, you will guide your workforce in order to achieve the targets.
Your main tasks:
- Motivate, direct, functionally and disciplinary supervise all team members
- Define together with the team the best possible plant layout concept
- Manage efficiently cost-, time- and quality-compliant handling of the plant design and engineering
- Appoint various tasks within your team and manage together the engineering interfaces between different stakeholders
- Contribution to execution planning, organization chart, resource planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, expediting, documentation and construction as required by the project management
- Organize the workload and establish the workload planning
- Support sales engineering activities
- Identification and implementation of new efficient plant design procedures and software
- Design reviews with customers and other stakeholders
- Coordination and sharing of experiences
- Drive Innovation within the team
- Plan and administrate engineering deliverables in the project deliverables list (PDL).
What do we expect?
- Mechanical, Civil or Piping engineering degree with experience gathered in the three disciplines
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the related field of the steel industry
- Experience in the field of oil & gas is considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of the AVEVA E3D plant design and NAVIS Works software
- Site exposure would be considered as an advantage
- Outstanding leadership skills and being able to develop team spirit
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated and result driven personality
- Well versed with modern communication tools (MS office)
- Fluency in English, German and/or French.
