Legal Counsel AIFM (F/M)
Job description
Your main responsibilities are:
- Reviewing and negotiating any agreements LIS is party to, including AIFM agreements, distribution agreements, depositary agreements, administration agreements etc.
- Reviewing fund constitutive documents;
- Advising the various business areas on legal interpretations and regulatory changes;
- Assisting in client onboardings;
- Maintaining and continuously upgrading checklists and templates for all key documents;
- Participation in a high number of projects inherent to the management company, the life cycle of the funds, compliance, operations, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and processes of the legal team;
- Maintaining AIFM passport notifications with the CSSF;
- Striving for continuous improvements in the operating practices and processes of the legal team including identifying efficiencies, improvements and opportunities to reduce costs;
- On-going legal watch;
- Preparation of internal and external legal updates
Requirements
Your profile:
- Legal professional with at least 1-3 years of experience within the fields of investment funds, a management company/AIFM or an international law firm in Luxembourg;
- Fluent in English and German with excellent written and oral communication skills, fluency in French or another European language would be a strong asset
- University degree in law, such as Master in Law or LLM or equivalent (preferably in Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria or Switzerland), qualification to register with a bar would be an asset;
- Fluent in English and German with excellent written and oral communication skills, fluency in French or another European language would be a strong asset;
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg law;
- Analytical, problem solving, business analysis skills;
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in team;
- Highly efficient, proactive and trustworthy;
- Strong organizational skills, paying attention to details;
- Very good computer skills and MS Office proficiency
