About the SnT...

The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire a Project Officer at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). SnT is carrying out interdisciplinary research and innovations in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Horizon Europe program, the European Space Agency and the European Defense Agency. SnT has developed a broad and effective partnership program, currently composed of 65 industrial and institutional partners located in Luxembourg and in Europe. For further information please see:

Your Role...

The Project Officer will support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation of a portfolio of projects funded by the European Commission and coordinated by SnT. The Project Officer will ensure efficient project administration and management, in compliance with the requirements of the European Commission.

  • Support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation and day to day management of ongoing European projects
  • Enable efficient organization and proper communication before, during and after project execution with relevant internal and external stakeholders (consortium partners, European Commission, internal research, financial and administrative teams)
  • Organize and set-up project meetings with project consortium and internal teams
  • Enable administrative management and financial assistance for the ongoing projects
  • Monitor the overall progress and deliverables for the whole project consortium
  • Collect inputs and consolidate project technical and periodic reports
  • Document relevant project information (contracts, project repositories, reports, deliverables, artifacts, et.)
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance of projects and grants with requirements from internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Monitor and scan future funding opportunities under European programmes in relevant SnT research domains
  • Support SnT research groups in writing new project proposals as coordinator within EU funded programmes


Your Profile...

  • Master degree or equivalent experience in an area relevant to grant and project management
  • Proven experience in EU grant management and proposal writing (H2020, Horizon Europe, European Defence Fund, etc)
  • Project management skills and knowledge of project management principles and best practices (certification in PMP, PM², Prince2 would be an asset)
  • Real team player able to follow internal and external workflows with precise deadlines, used to evolve in a high-level expectations environment
  • Service oriented and problem solving attitude
  • High level of discretion to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Fluent in English (oral and written). Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish would be appreciated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a multicultural environment
