ALFI is the official representative body for the Luxembourg investment fund industry and was set up in November 1988 to promote its development.

ALFI plays a proactive role in leading industry efforts to turn Luxembourg into the most attractive international centre for domiciling and distributing investment and pension funds and the main gateway to the European and global fund markets. Luxembourg is the largest fund domicile in Europe and its investment fund industry is a world leader in cross-border fund distribution. Luxembourg-domiciled investment structures are distributed in over 70 countries around the globe, with a particular focus on Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
