Controlling Officer
The Controlling Officer will have the opportunity to support the growth of our business in a fast-changing environment. As part of the Controlling team, you will play an important role in Advanzia’s financial planning and reporting activity and provide support to management and board in making decisions. This opportunity is a full-time CDI contract.
ABOUT THE JOB l What will you do?
As a Controlling Officer, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Manage preparation and validation of month-end reports for management, including balance sheet and profit and loss statements
- Coordinate the delivery and review of information received from various stakeholders
- Monitor and analyse budget variances
- Conduct insightful ad hoc analyses, based on profitability, customer segmentation, peer comparison etc., to support management decisions
- Assist the Controlling team in budgeting and forecasting
- Drive continuous enhancement of the management information system and databases, including automation initiatives and implementation of best practices
ABOUT YOU l What’s your background?
- University degree in Finance, Business, Econometrics, or any similar discipline in the financial area
- Experience in banking, finance or advisory with a focus on financial reporting and planning is an asset
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of banking and consumer credit is an asset
- Experience in financial modelling is advantageous
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Knowledge of data mining and business intelligence tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python etc.) would be an asset
