Senior Associate – Fund & Real Estate Accounting

A large financial institution - client

Responsibilities:

As Senior Associate, you play a critical role in the success of our business. Your typical day will see you working on a wide range of diverse and varied projects, including:

• Responsible for the reporting of regulated and non-regulated Real Estate funds and SPV accounting

• Performing regular reviews of the accounting work prepared by the team    

• Preparation of the quarterly reporting packs including balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow statements, notes, cash and portfolio reconciliations, property management data, loan schedules, supporting schedules, etc.

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts

• Preparation of provisional tax calculations

• Preparation and/or review of the annual accounts under Lux GAAP (Caseware)

• Driving an interim and/or year-end audit. Ensuring that all audit queries are answered on time.

• Close co-operation and communication with the ITG's or externally appointed corporate officers, tax and legal advisors, banks, clients' representatives, asset managers and worldwide teams in daily operations

• Coaching and supporting junior accountants and reviewing their work

• Team oversight, during managers’ absence

• Review of the payment instructions

• Transaction assistance (capital calls, distributions, acquisitions, disinvestments, etc.)

• Developing in depth knowledge of the assigned platforms/clients groups

• Ensuring that all statutory and client related deadlines are respected.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a Bachelor or Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent

• Have proven experience in financial services, International Accounting, tax or trust environment

• Have at least 4 years of relevant working experience

• Are fluent in English, written and spoken. Any additional language is considered an advantage

• Have strong communication skills and work well in a team

• Are accurate, flexible, hands-on and deliver their best work when facing a tight deadline

• Focus on quality
