he ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Planning and Monitoring Sector, driving efficient, data driven planning and budgeting aligned with eu-LISA’s strategic objectives, while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your tasks will include a wide range of responsibilities that extend beyond the following list:
- Lead the Planning and Monitoring Sector, providing strategic direction, fostering collaboration, and inspiring the team to deliver high-quality outcomes in line with eu-LISA’s mission;
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of eu-LISA’s multiannual and annual work programmes and budget envelopes, ensuring an integrated and coherent planning process that aligns with stakeholder needs and strategic objectives;
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of budgetary and planning documents, reports and products, either required by legislation or supporting the business;
- Lead the development and application of activity-based costing & budgeting methodologies, strengthening the link between strategic activities, resource allocation, and budgetary commitments;
- Oversee systematic monitoring and analysis of budget execution, including monthly budget implementation reviews and performance assessments against established indicators, including the maintenance and evolution of dedicated IT tools;
- Foster cross-sector collaboration and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including the European Commission, Parliament, Council and Court of Auditors, to support effective planning and reporting;
- Promote a culture of excellence, efficiency and innovation within the Sector, empowering and mentoring staff while embedding robust planning and monitoring practices across the agency;
- Act as a role model for ethical leadership and accountability, championing transparency, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement within planning and monitoring processes.
