Our client, company based in Belval, is currently looking for a Librarian Specialist (FR/EN/DE) to join its team. As part of a temporary replacement, the successful candidate will provide expert library and research support the staff, while contributing to the development and management of relevant collections and information resources.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week, for an initial 2-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Your responsabilities :
- Support students, researchers, professors and other academic stakeholders in accessing and making effective use of library resources.
- Manage and develop collections in your assigned subject areas, ensuring that resources remain relevant to current academic and research needs.
- Contribute to acquisition planning, collection reviews and budget follow-up.
- Provide tailored research assistance and advise users on relevant databases, catalogues, digital resources and information tools.
- Deliver information literacy sessions and practical training adapted to different audiences and levels of expertise.
- Develop user-friendly support materials such as research guides, bibliographies, online resources and tutorials.
- Build strong relationships with academic departments to understand their evolving teaching and research requirements.
- Monitor developments in relevant academic fields and identify opportunities to improve collections, resources and library services.
- Promote library resources and services through training, communication and outreach activities.
- Use usage statistics, user feedback and other relevant information to identify needs and support service improvement.
- Contribute to the organisation, maintenance and quality of library collections and information resources.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of library procedures and collaborate with colleagues on cross-functional projects.
- Act as a trusted contact for academic users, providing specialist advice and helping to develop solutions tailored to their needs.
Your profile :
- You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation or a related field. A Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Political Science or another relevant discipline combined with experience in information management would also be considered.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within an academic, university or research library.
- You have strong knowledge of library management systems, with hands-on experience with Alma being essential, as well as catalogues, discovery platforms, databases and digital information resources.
- You are confident using digital tools and have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- You have proven experience in collection development, acquisitions, research support, reference services and information literacy.
- You are comfortable advising academic professionals and researchers and can act as a subject-matter expert within your area of responsibility.
- You have experience with collection policies, acquisition processes, budget monitoring, usage analysis and service improvement.
- You are able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative and multidisciplinary team.
- You have excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills, together with a strong service-oriented approach.
- You are adaptable, proactive and comfortable working with a diverse range of academic and professional stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English and French, with a good knowledge of German.
