Your mission :

As the Security Chapter Lead and Head of the Security Office, you will provide leadership and technical direction to the security function within the consortium’s matrix organization.

Your mission is to build, structure and technically lead the security capability, ensuring the protection of IT infrastructure, applications and data while enabling delivery teams to integrate security into their solutions.

You will combine strategic leadership with strong technical expertise, working closely with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps and development teams to implement security-by-design practices and robust operational security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Leadership and Strategy

  • Define and maintain the security strategy and roadmap, aligned with business objectives and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Lead and structure the Security Office chapter, ensuring effective collaboration with technical squads.
  • Act as the technical authority for cybersecurity, supporting squads in the secure design and implementation of systems and platforms.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and decision-making support for complex security topics.

2. Security Architecture and Engineering

  • Define and maintain the security architecture framework for infrastructure, applications and cloud environments.
  • Promote and enforce security-by-design and secure-by-default principles across development and infrastructure teams.
  • Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to design secure infrastructures, select and implement security technologies, integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and platforms.
  • Perform security architecture reviews and technical risk assessments of new systems and major projects.

3. Security Operations and Threat Management

  • Oversee and continuously improve security operations capabilities, including monitoring, detection and response.
  • Lead and coordinate the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT).
  • Ensure the organization maintains effective incident response procedures, playbooks and escalation processes.
  • Support SOC evolution, threat detection improvement and security tooling optimization.

4. Security Integration with Squads

  • Work closely with product and engineering squads to embed security into the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical coaching and expertise on secure coding, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, threat modelling.
  • Support squads in implementing pragmatic and scalable security controls.

5. Security Awareness and Technical Enablement

  • Promote a security-first engineering culture across the organization.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to developers, engineers and infrastructure teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing on threats, vulnerabilities and security best practices.

6. Risk and Compliance Alignment

  • Ensure security controls support relevant regulatory and contractual requirements, without creating unnecessary operational overhead.
  • Collaborate with audit, legal and compliance stakeholders when required.
  • Maintain essential documentation and evidence supporting the security posture.

Your profile :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong technical cybersecurity background (10+ years preferred) in areas such as security architecture, security operations, infrastructure security, incident response, vulnerability management
  • Proven experience leading security teams or technical chapters.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM / SOC tooling, endpoint security, identity and access management, cloud security, network security
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and practices (NIST, CIS, OWASP), applied in technical implementation contexts.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC or similar are considered a plus.

Requirements

  • EU citizenship.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong ability to work in a technical and collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
