As part of the Luxembourg National Centre of Excellence in Research and Innovation in Financial Technologies (FTNCER) we look for two PhD students in financial law, with a focus on collective investment schemes, private assets and financial technologies.
Your role
The PhD students will be supervised by Assistant Professor Julia Sinnig and Professor Dirk Zetzsche with additional support from disciplinary experts in computer science, information systems management and/or finance. The doctoral researcher's main task will be to prepare a doctoral thesis. The topic of the PhD thesis relates to the FTNCER's "Lighthouse Project on Private Assets" and will be determined jointly by the PhD candidat.
Your profile
- Master's degree in related field
- Excellent academic credentials; candidates with excellent grades will be prioritised
- Proven interest in financial law, for instance through master theses, publications, and/or internships at law firms
- Ability to work in and interest in interdisciplinary work, with a focus on computer science, information systems management and finance
- Operational Language Requirements: Both profiles require excellent command of English. One PhD profile additionally requires excellent command of French, while the other requires excellent command of German
Academic Eligibility (Thesis):
