The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.

Your role
Alongside research activities, the postdoctoral researcher may contribute, under supervision, to selected teaching activities relevant to the project's thematic scope. This may include limited involvement in Bachelor or Master level teaching and supervision of student work related to the research project.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to academic publications and the dissemination of research results in international scholarly venues. The position is embedded in a research programme led by professorial staff and carried out within an interdisciplinary research team.
Your profile
- A PhD in social science, ideally in conflict research, communication studies and/or media anthropology or a related filed
- Experience in mixed methods approaches, field research and quantitative and qualitative analytics
- Excellent publication record
- Ideally previous experience on research projects in the Global South and/or humanitarian aid contexts
- Experience in designing and/or delivering online trainings is considered an asset, including formats contributing to academic teaching, lifelong learning, or continuing education initiatives of the University
- Willingness to engage in teamwork in research groups
- Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Luxembourgish, French and/or German, and any other language is a plus
