We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer - Framework & Monitoring to join our Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Bank's compliance framework, with a particular focus on the oversight and monitoring of FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) obligations.
As a second-line-of-defense function, you will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of first-line controls, monitoring regulatory compliance, identifying risks, and supporting the ongoing development of governance and control frameworks related to tax transparency regulations.
Your next challenge:
Compliance Framework & Governance
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and enhancement of the Compliance Framework in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Draft, review and update policies, procedures and control standards related to FATCA, CRS and tax transparency obligations.
- Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements and compliance initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day guidance on compliance topics in collaboration with Tax department, Tax Operations, KYC Office and/or Legal teams.
Monitoring & Second-Line Controls
- Design and execute second-line compliance monitoring and testing activities on FATCA/CRS and other AML processes.
- Assess the effectiveness of first-line controls covering client onboarding, due diligence, classification, documentation, remediation and reporting obligations.
- Analyse control results and provide recommendations to strengthen the control environment
- Monitor corrective action plans and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
Your skills:
- University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Compliance, Regulatory Risk, Internal Control or Audit within the financial services industry.
- Good knowledge of FATCA/CRS and AML regulations and their practical implementation within banking or financial institutions.
- Experience conducting compliance monitoring reviews, control testing or second-line oversight activities.
- Familiarity with client due diligence, tax classification and regulatory reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of monitoring activities and regulatory commitments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess complex regulatory requirements.
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory environment would be considered an advantage.
