Your Key Objectives:
You will be responsible for implementing the Bank's commercial strategy and risk policy within the Alternative Funds segment, both in Luxembourg and abroad. You will manage and develop profitable client relationships, promote the Institutional Banking Value Proposition, and contribute to the growth of the Alternative Investment Funds business.
Your next challenge:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of clients in the Custodian Banking/Depositary segment and foster long-term relationships through regular client interactions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients within BIL, ensuring effective coordination between clients and all relevant internal stakeholders.
- Achieve assigned objectives in terms of revenue, costs, deposit collection and credit production, while actively contributing to the performance of the Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) team and Institutional Banking (IB).
- Promote the IB Value Proposition by developing a thorough understanding of clients' situations and proposing solutions that address their current and future needs.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of BIL's products and services, particularly those dedicated to AIF clients.
- Leverage the expertise available across IB to deliver comprehensive client solutions, drive cross-selling initiatives and identify business growth opportunities in collaboration with the Business Developers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, including KYC and AML obligations.
- Oversee the operational follow-up of client requests and instructions, working closely with the Business Office and Compliance teams to ensure service quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives within Institutional Banking by supporting colleagues and continuously developing specialized expertise.
- Act as an ambassador of the BIL Group through participation in conferences, presentations, training sessions and industry events, while maintaining a strong professional network.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of products and services for AIF clients through an innovative and client-focused approach.
Your skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Audit, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the banking, fund industry and/or depositary environment.
- Excellent understanding of the AIFMD framework and the related legal and regulatory environment.
- In-depth knowledge of alternative asset classes, including Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure.
- Extensive understanding of banking activities, organisational structures, operational risk management processes and control frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of banking products and services, including cash and treasury management, securities services, financing and capital markets solutions.
- Proven experience in operational risk assessment, process enhancement and monitoring activities.
- Good understanding of the key drivers and market dynamics of the European fund industry.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
