Back Office Analyst - EU Institutions

Our client, a European bank, based in Kirchberg, is looking for a Back Office Analyst to join its teams. This will be a 2-months interim contract that may be extended in accordance with Luxembourgish law, for a maximum duration of 1 year.

Your responsabilities :
- Manage the administrative and tax-related aspects of Treasury accounts.
- Set up and maintain counterparty information in internal systems.
- Support the opening, maintenance and closing of Treasury accounts.
- Coordinate with Treasury, Compliance, Legal and Operations teams, as well as external counterparties, to resolve operational queries.
- Ensure that records and documentation are accurate and complete, particularly for audit and internal control purposes.
- Follow up on operational issues and help ensure that transactions and processes are completed correctly and on time.
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives aimed at reducing operational risks.
- Handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
Your profile :
- You have at least 3 years of experience in banking operations or financial services, ideally within a Treasury back-office, middle-office or post-trade environment.
- You have a good understanding of Treasury products, such as foreign exchange (FX), money-market instruments and derivatives.
- You have experience with bank account management and counterparty onboarding, including opening, maintaining and closing accounts.
- You are familiar with tax-related processes for financial instruments, such as tax documentation, relief-at-source and tax reclaim procedures.
- You understand key post-trade activities, including settlement, reconciliation, operational controls and regulatory requirements.
- You are comfortable working with banking and financial systems to manage accounts and counterparties.
- You are organised, detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
- You have strong communication and problem-solving skills and are comfortable working with different internal teams and external counterparties.
- You are proactive and interested in improving processes and reducing operational risks.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- You have a very good command of English.
Package :
- Salary : €5715 gross monthly
- 26 annual leave + up to 17 days bank holidays
