KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing and implementing API solutions and strategy, and building APIs that ensure security, usability and reliability
- Maintaining and evolving the API platform (development, parameterization, testing, defect management, release management)
- Developing and testing various policies for governance, management and runtime execution of APIs
- Assisting with integration, QA and performance tests
- Formalizing and keeping up-to-date sufficient documentation related to our IT programs
- Supporting the validation/formalization and implementation of procedures and processes of the function, based on available policies and other documents
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of practical Java development background
- Build and expose RESTful APIs that are scalable, maintainable, and secure
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of API security standards, including OAuth2, JWT, and mutual TLS
- Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Understanding of HTTP protocols, status codes, and REST principles
- Familiar with Agile practices, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams using tools like Jira & Confluence
- Experience with Git for version control and Maven for build
- Familiarity with API Gateway technologies
- Basic exposure to Vue.js 3 for frontend development is an advantage
- Background in payments, banking, or fintech is desirable
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
