We are currently recruiting for one of our clients a:

Senior Business Development Manager

OUR CLIENT
Our client is one of the major payer in the banking sector. It currently operates in retail, private and corporate banking, as well as on major capital markets.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Objectives:

  • Identify, acquire, and manage new Asset Manager clients for our AIF Depositary department through proactive prospecting.

  • Recognize, negotiate, and execute business opportunities, including term sheets and internal committee approvals.

  • Maximize cross-selling opportunities across the bank’s product suite (bank accounts, financing, Forex, etc.).

  • Promote AIF Depositary services both internally and externally, including at conferences and industry events.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with service providers such as Fund Administrators, AIFMs, law firms, and Big 4 firms.

  • Contribute actively to the development of new products and services.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Drive the acquisition of new clients for the AIF Depositary portfolio.

  • Achieve targets related to new clients, assets under depositary, and account openings while maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

  • Identify business opportunities and negotiate with a constructive, win-win approach for both clients and the bank.

  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to leverage growth opportunities within their portfolios.

  • Work alongside Investment Banking Business Developers to position and communicate IB’s value proposition effectively.

  • Develop innovative proposals that showcase the full range of solutions offered to alternative investment funds, positioning yourself as a trusted partner providing comprehensive, consistent services.

  • Ensure full compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory obligations, including KYC and AML requirements.

  • Maintain accurate client information and activity records in the CRM system.

  • Represent the BIL Group externally through conferences, presentations, and training sessions (e.g., ALFI, LPEA).

  • Contribute ideas and feedback for product and service innovation.

Requirements

The profile we are looking for:

  • University degree (Master’s level) in Finance, Business Administration, Audit, or Law.

  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in banking or the fund industry.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Bank organization, operations, workflows, and risk management processes.

    • Financial products and services, including cash/treasury management, securities, financing, and capital markets solutions.

    • AIFMD regulations and the relevant legal/regulatory framework.

    • Alternative asset classes: Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, Infrastructure.

    • Key drivers of the European fund industry.

  • Client-focused, collaborative, and a strong team player.
