For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a : Group Risk & Compliance - (Senior) Compliance Data & Reporting Officer (M/F)
Job Description: POSITION PURPOSE
Design, develop, maintain and continuously improve compliance reporting and data solutions, in particular BusinessObjects based reports and underlying databases, in order to support effective oversight, monitoring and decision making by compliance officers and senior management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Compliance reporting and oversight support
- Design, develop, enhance and maintain regular and ad hoc compliance reports and dashboards, with a strong focus on BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence) and related reporting tools.
- Support compliance officers in their oversight, monitoring and assurance activities by translating business and regulatory requirements into robust reporting and data solutions.
- Handle day to day and ad hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and consistency of outputs.
- Ensure the reliability, traceability and clarity of compliance reporting used for internal governance, audits and regulatory interactions.
Data management and database expertise
- Act as a senior expert on databases, data models and data flows underpinning compliance reporting solutions.
- Analyse data structures, sources and transformations to identify data quality issues, root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement sustainable improvements to data quality controls, validation checks and reconciliation mechanisms supporting compliance reporting.
- Contribute to the definition, maintenance and evolution of compliance data models and reporting standards.
Business Objects and technical expertise
- Serve as the BusinessObjects expert for the compliance function, including report design, optimisation, troubleshooting and performance improvements.
- Ensure non regression testing and proper validation of reports following changes to data sources, systems or business requirements.
- Liaise effectively with IT, data owners and external providers to ensure that reporting and database solutions are correctly implemented and maintained.
Change, improvement and governance
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline and standardise compliance reporting processes.
- Contribute to compliance with the Group's Data and Reporting Governance framework, IT Data Strategy and relevant best banking practices.
- Assess the impact of regulatory, organisational or system changes on compliance reporting and data solutions, and coordinate the necessary adaptations.
- Maintain up to date reporting documentation, procedures and user guides.
Knowledge sharing and senior contribution
- Act as a senior point of reference for compliance reporting and data matters within OCCO.
- Proactively share expertise with compliance officers and colleagues, including through guidance, training and coaching where appropriate.
- Contribute as an expert member to transversal working groups and improvement initiatives related to data, reporting and oversight.
PROFIL
TYPICAL BACKGROUND
- University degree, preferably in IT, Data Management, Mathematics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or related roles, preferably within compliance, risk management or financial services.
- In depth knowledge of BusinessObjects, in particular Web Intelligence.
- Strong understanding of databases, data models and SQL; ability to analyse and optimise complex data structures.
- Experience in designing, maintaining and improving reporting solutions supporting oversight or control functions.
- Experience with AML, Sanctions, KYC and other compliance-related datasets would be an asset.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality and reporting best practices; knowledge of regulatory reporting or compliance frameworks is an asset.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality outputs under time pressure.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Very good knowledge of English and/or French, with a good command of the other.
