For our client, a Bank located in Luxembourg-City, we are currently looking for an :

Operational Risk Management Specialist

Within the \"Operational Risk Prevention and Cybersecurity\" section - which is part of the \"Financial and Operational Risk Management\" department, and as part of the second line of defense in the internal control model, you assess and contribute to the identification and assessment, monitoring and mitigation of operational risks.

This role involves designing and implementing an effective risk management framework, ensuring alignment with the rules and procedures in force at the Bank and/or in the Eurosystem, strategic objectives, and fostering a culture of risk awareness across all levels.

Your responsibilities :

- You participate in the risk prevention team's tasks to assess and evaluate the bank's operational risks
- You assist various business units in identifying and evaluating operational risks, including conducting second-line controls and proposing mitigation measures, assessing and documenting operational risks
- You assist various projects in assessing the risk situation and in proposing mitigating measures.
- You support the design of appropriate controls to keep risk exposure within acceptable levels.
- You assist and support reporting activities on the banks operational risk status, including periodic reporting, the drafting of the quarterly risk situation and contribute to the development of the operational risk mapping.
- You analyse the Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and assess the potential impact of emerging risks.
- You document the identified risks according to the operational risk management taxonomy.
- You monitor and evaluate emerging risks and industry trends to enhance the organization's resilience and preparedness.
- You provide guidance and support as a subject matter expert.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate operational risk requirements into daily operations and project planning.
- You provide training and increase awareness of operational risks, promoting best practices throughout the organization.

PROFIL

- Master's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, computer science or similar;
- A first experience in Operational Risk Management in the banking environment;
- Appetite for performing second line controls;
- Strong organisational, analytical/synthesis and writing skills;
- Proven ability to identify and evaluate operational risks and controls;
- Good communication, good interpersonal skills and discretion;
- Sense of responsibility, availability, respect of deadlines;
- Ability to work alone and in a team;
- French and English are required, knowledge of Luxembourgish and German is considered an asset.


Type of contract : interim 12 months
Salary : 8,500EUR gross per month + 13th month + meal compensation (204EUR net per month) + 32 days of holidays per year.
