In the framework of an FNR funded project we will investigate the fundamental limitations of chalcopyrite thin film solar cells in order to improve their efficiency. Thin film solar cells provide the electricity source with the lowest greenhouse gas emissions.
Your Role...
The postdoc will be a member of the Department of Physics and Materials Science within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine at the University of Luxembourg. She or he will perform research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Siebentritt.
Activities
- Preparation by co-evaporation of chalcopyrite films and solar cells
- Optoelectronic thin film and solar cell characterisation
- Data analysis and modelling
- Publications in international journals and conferences
What we expect from you…
- Dr. in Physics (or equivalent) with very good grades
- Good background in solid state physics, preferably in solar cells, semiconductors
- Self-motivated, committed, and curious
- Creative and able to think independently
- Excellent command of English
