Your area of work:
The unit Business Continuity Management (U) oversees and controls the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Framework of Clearstream Securities Services, which is deployed to mitigate unavailability risk for key resources in order to minimize the impact of potential operational disruptions. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working at the intersection of risk, process, and technology, and want hands-on experience in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end preparation and coordination of quarterly Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and monthly BIA reviews, including data readiness, stakeholder follow-ups, and completion rate monitoring to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Assist in managing the annual Business Continuity Plan (BCP) review cycle by maintaining the master inventory, tracking document versions, and ensuring timely approvals in accordance with governance standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Tool by identifying and documenting enhancement requests, bugs, and new features with clearly defined requirements, acceptance criteria, priorities, and dependencies
- Design and maintain AI-driven prompts and automated workflows to support data validation, detect inconsistencies or missing fields, and enhance the quality and consistency of BCM documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with control functions including Risk Management, Outsourcing & Third-Party Risk Management, and Information Security to ensure alignment and integration of business continuity practices
- Support the development and delivery of Business Continuity awareness initiatives, promoting a culture of resilience and preparedness across the organization
Your profile:
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with a recognized institution focusing on Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance/Risk, or a related field and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months.
- Want to gain experience in the field of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including international BCM standards promoted by BCI/DR/ISO and relevant regulations (MaRisk, EMIR, BAIT, DORA, etc.)
- Advanced MS Office Proficiency – Strong command of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with expertise in VBA macro development, scripting, and Power Automate workflow automation integrated across Microsoft 365 applications
- Data Management & Automation – Skilled in manipulating and transforming large datasets, applying data validation rules, conditional logic, and error-checking techniques to ensure accuracy, integrity, and process efficiency.
- Gathered first experience with AI for data validation and a keen interest to further develop skills in AI and its potential to transform business processes.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
