Senior Functional Consultant – AFAH (m/f)

ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is looking for a Senior Functional Consultant – Accounting Systems (m/f) to join one of our client teams onsite in Luxembourg within the insurance sector.

In this role, you will support the implementation and optimization of Axway Financial Accounting Hub (AFAH), ensuring that accounting rules are accurately translated into functional configurations. Working closely with finance, accounting, and IT teams, you will contribute to the successful implementation of the solution, support business users, and drive continuous process improvements.

Please note that fluency in French is mandatory for this position.

THE WORK:

• Support the functional implementation and configuration of Axway Financial Accounting Hub (AFAH).
• Translate accounting and business rules into functional configurations within the application.
• Collaborate with technical teams and implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate functional workshops with finance, accounting, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Support functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production readiness activities.
• Provide functional support during deployment and post-go-live phases.
• Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and improve system usage.
• Prepare and maintain functional documentation.
• Deliver training sessions and support key users in adopting the solution.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and help internal teams become autonomous in the long term.

Onsite at client site: This role requires an onsite presence with our clients and partners to support project delivery and strengthen client relationships.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Proven experience as a Functional Consultant on accounting or financial systems implementation
• projects.
• Strong functional expertise with Axway Financial Accounting Hub (AFAH).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial business processes.
• Experience implementing financial accounting hubs, accounting rule engines, or financial interpretation solutions.
• Ability to translate accounting and business requirements into functional solutions.
• Experience facilitating functional workshops with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting functional testing, deployment, and post-production activities.
• Experience producing functional documentation and delivering user training.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, challenge existing processes, and recommend practical improvements.
• Fluency in French is mandatory. Good command of English is required.
