Marketing & Senior BD Officer - Law firm experience

Our client is a well-established international law firm with a strong presence in Luxembourg and a highly regarded reputation in the market. As the firm continues to develop its activities, it is looking for a Business Developer to join its team and work closely with lawyers and partners on the development of the business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategy, relationship management, market analysis and commercial development and who wants to work in a sophisticated and international legal environment.

Your role

You will be at the heart of the firm's business development activities, working closely with the Corporate and M&A teams as well as senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting partners and lawyers in developing and implementing business development strategies.
• Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of existing client relationships.
• Preparing and coordinating pitches, tenders, client presentations and business proposals.
• Monitoring business opportunities and maintaining accurate information within the firm's CRM and internal databases.
• Conducting market and competitor research to identify relevant trends and commercial opportunities.
• Preparing reports and analysing business development data to support strategic decisions.
• Helping the team improve its processes, tools and overall approach to business development.
• Working with colleagues from different offices and jurisdictions on international and cross-border projects.
• Acting as a business development partner to lawyers and partners, bringing ideas and recommendations to help develop their practices.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who already understands the legal services environment and knows how a law firm operates.

You ideally have:

• Several years of experience in Business Development, Marketing or Client Development within a law firm or another professional services environment.
• A good understanding of the Corporate / M&A sector is a strong advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• A commercial mindset and a genuine interest in understanding clients and business opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn information into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The confidence to work with partners, senior lawyers and other key stakeholders.
• A proactive and autonomous approach, combined with a strong team spirit.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
