Your next challenge:
- As part of the AIF Depositary team you will be responsible for safekeeping and verifying the ownership of the AIFs assets, monitor cash flow activities and perform oversight controls.
- You will need to ensure that the procedures and controls comply with the applicable laws and keep up to date with legislation, professional standards and regulatory changes.
- You will perform due diligences on fund service providers and be involved in on-site inspections.
- Attending periodic client service meetings will also be part of your activities.
- You will maintain and enhance depositary procedures, review programs and checklists.
- Minimum 7 years of experience within the banking and financial services industry, including significant exposure to the Luxembourg fund industry.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Audit, Law, or a related field.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. French and/or German would be considered a strong asset. Any additional language will be viewed favourably.
- AIFMD and the Luxembourg regulatory framework applicable to investment funds.
- The role and responsibilities of a Depositary Bank.
- Alternative asset classes, including Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure.
- Operational risk assessment, monitoring and process enhancement.
- The key drivers, developments and trends shaping the European fund industry.
- Banking organisations, operational workflows and risk management frameworks.
- Financial products and services, including cash and treasury management, securities services, financing and capital markets solutions.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience within an AIF Depositary function, particularly in investment restriction controls.
- Professional certifications in audit, internal control and/or risk management.
- Strong team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative, supportive attitude.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with conceptual and strategic thinking.
- Well-organised and results-driven, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines and effectively manage priorities.
- Accurate, flexible and hands-on, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
