FUNCTIONAL ANALYST - FUND DISTRIBUTION AND DEALING OPERATIONS
Position Overview
We are looking for a Functional Analyst with strong experience in fund distribution and dealing operations. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that fund order processing, dealing workflows, distributor connectivity and operational processes are efficiently translated into functional solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with a solid understanding of investment funds, order routing, transfer agency activities and fund distribution platforms.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements related to fund dealing and distribution activities.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for development teams.
- Define and document business processes, workflows, use cases and data flows.
- Participate in solution design workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
Dealing & Fund Distribution
- Analyse end-to-end fund order lifecycle processes (subscription, redemption, switch, transfer).
- Support enhancements of dealing platforms and distributor connectivity solutions.
- Contribute to the optimisation of order routing, execution and settlement processes.
- Participate in projects related to transfer agency integration and fund distribution services.
- Support reconciliation, exception management and operational controls.
Testing & Delivery
- Define test strategies and prepare functional test scenarios.
- Execute functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate data quality and system behaviour across interfaces.
- Support production releases and post-implementation activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Dealing, Compliance, Product Management and IT teams.
- Coordinate discussions between business users, developers and external providers.
- Document and maintain functional specifications and project deliverables.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or Product Analyst within Asset Management, Fund Distribution or Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of fund dealing and fund distribution processes.
- Experience working with Transfer Agents, Fund Platforms or Asset Managers.
- Proven experience in system implementation and business transformation projects.

- BPMN / UML
- API and system integrations
- Data analysis and reporting tools
Regulatory Knowledge
Good understanding of:
- MiFID II
- UCITS
- AIFMD
- AML / KYC principles
- Cross-border fund distribution regulations
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to interact with both business and technical teams.
- Autonomous, proactive and detail-oriented.
- Team player with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with fund order-routing platforms.
- Knowledge of SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging.
- Agile / Scrum environment experience.
- CBAP, CCBA, Agile or Scrum certification.
- Knowledge of Luxembourg fund industry practices.
