As part of our growing team, we are looking for an AML-KYC and Compliance Consultant with at least 5 years of experience eager to develop their expertise across AML/CTF, KYC and Regulatory Compliance assignments, with a particular interest and experience in the INSURANCE SECTOR.
Your mission
As AML-KYC and Compliance Consultant, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues and contribute to various client assignments, including:
- Working directly for Insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, as well as banks, professionals of the financial sector, OEC members and AED supervised entities, on AML/CTF, KYC and regulatory compliance operational assignments in line with Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
- Client onboarding and KYC file review, including identification and verification of beneficial owners, source of funds and wealth analysis, risk classification, name screening and PEP / sanctions alert handling, with a particular focus on life insurance policyholders, beneficiaries and payees.
- Supporting audits, investigations and remediation projects (e.g. KYC file reviews, suspicious activity analysis, preparation of documentation for regulators such as the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA).
- Drafting, implementing, reviewing and amending internal procedures and compliance documentation (AML/CTF policies, risk assessments, controls and monitoring plans) adapted to insurance business models and distribution channels.
- Advising management on compliance and regulatory matters and preparing summaries and analyses of new legislation and regulatory developments impacting the insurance and financial sectors.
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor Degree (Bac +3) in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in AML/KYC/Regulatory Compliance environments, preferably within the insurance sector (life insurance company, insurance intermediary) or with insurance clients.
- Solid knowledge of the Luxembourg AML/CTF framework and its application to the insurance sector (risk-based approach, customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, PEP and sanctions screening) is considered as a priority.
- Experience and understanding of Life Insurance KYC and client onboarding processes (policyholders, beneficiaries, source of funds/wealth, controls on surrenders and benefit payments) is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with screening and AML monitoring tools and with regulatory reporting or supervisory exchanges (CAA, CRF) is a plus.
- Strong client orientation, flexibility and ability to adapt to various client environments and corporate cultures.
- Creative and solution driven, keen to develop competencies and provide benefit to clients.
- Fluent in English and French mandatory, additional languages are a plus.
