ING Luxembourg is looking for an Infrastructure Lead/IT Area Lead (m/f), who will lead a collection of different squads which have the same or related purpose to execute organization-wide information technology plans that contribute to an IT architecture, infrastructure, systems and operations that support and leads the business. He will develop and implement information technology plans in close cooperation with the global teams.

He/She will report hierarchically to the CIO Luxembourg and work closely with the global teams of ING.

Mission

  • Focus on innovation and improvement of IT infrastructure in the strategic field to provide standardization and simplification of IT processes. Contribute from the perspective of infrastructure and IT knowledge to the strategy of the organization, and is responsible for a web-scaled infrastructure landscape within a high-performing-culture and an agile organization
  • Collaborate on development of the digital roadmap and key strategic enablers, designing the infrastructure that allows new applications, products, and services to be rolled out quickly while ensuring that legacy applications and IT operations are maintained at optimal levels
  • Ensure that the strategy and roadmap are fully aligned with the Group one and rely on existing global components, especially the ING Private Cloud
  • Take responsibility for setting and receiving approval for infrastructure budgets
  • Lead in detecting and analyzing infrastructure performance issues or incidents including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities and remediate any gaps in line with the incident management procedure
  • Ensure that IT Infrastructure stays within the IT Risk appetite and onboard the tooling aiming at automating the controls
  • Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve non-compliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct
  • Motivate and support the growth of all members using equitable approaches for performance management and development that may be differentiated to support each employee's unique needs and preferences in order to bring out their best and meet business needs
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns
  • Apply technical knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals
  • Create new and better ways for the organization to be successful and paints a compelling picture of the infrastructure vision and strategy that motivates others to action
  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media

  • 10+ years of experience in financial, tech environments
  • Provable experience in leading teams and proven technical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong judgment, makes good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Acts as the department`s authority and established expert to develop solutions based on an understanding of the business/Group environment and objectives
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, in an agile environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on motivating all employees to learn, grow and develop so that they can obtain the knowledge and experience they need to help the organization reach its goals

  • Financial/Business acumen, ability to drive efficiency and adaptable solutions
