About the Opportunity
A well-established international company operating in a regulated financial services environment, based in Luxembourg, is seeking to recruit a Head of Finance as part of its continued growth.

Role Overview
Reporting to senior management, the Head of Finance will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Finance function for the European entity. The role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and timely reporting within a controlled and fast-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Finance function, ensuring robust processes and internal controls

Oversee financial accounting activities, including revenue accounting, accounts payable and general ledger

Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes

Prepare, review and analyse internal and external financial statements

Drive budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis (FP&A)

Supervise treasury activities, cash management, bank accounts and reconciliations

Oversee corporate tax matters (direct and indirect taxes)

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, accounting standards and best practices

Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors

Work closely with Compliance, Risk and Operations teams

Contribute to cross-functional and international projects
Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications :
-
Higher education in Finance, Accounting or a related field
-
Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
Experience & Skills :
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting with increasing levels of responsibility

Experience in a regulated financial services environment (e.g. banking, payment institutions, financial services) is highly desirable

Strong hands-on knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes

Solid understanding of financial reporting and closing cycles

Proficient in Excel and financial systems

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
-
Able to work autonomously in a demanding and confidential environment

Fluent English is required
