Construction Engineer - Design (m/f/d)

We are looking for a

Construction Engineer – Design (m/f/d)

You will belong to the Global Site Activities Team and will participate to the process of construction engineering and planning of the activities pertaining to the execution of the project on site.

Your main tasks:

• Subdivision of the scope of work considering the layout disciplines and contract constraints
• Elaboration of technical specifications for the inquiry/order
• Technical evaluation of offers, comparison of suppliers and participation in negotiations
• To work out RfQ-documents (Request for Quotation) for Inquiry-Process
• Management of Contractors (Erection Companies)
• Preparation of sketches and studies of erection sequences
• Preparation of erection schedule (installation and commissioning)
• Preparation of manuals
• Resource planning
• Follow-up of the overall integrated planning and general coordination between site and office
• Assistance for claim activity
• Visits and assessment of new sub-suppliers
• Site visits.

What do we expect?

• Technical degree (high school) or engineering degree (university)
• Experience in site assistance during plant erection / commissioning
• Knowledge of Integrated Iron Making plants and equipment
• Experience in plant layout and equipment design
• Experience in erection and commissioning planning
• Strong English skills
• Good knowledge or Office Tools and AutoCAD
• Goal oriented
• Flexibility and analytical analysis capability
• Motivation and availability for business trips.
