About the FSTM

Your role
The researcher will be a part of the team of Prof. Jean-Marc Schlenker within the project Surfaces In 3-dimensional Spaces And Extensions (SIDE) OPEN25/19559635.
Responsabilities:
- Research in Geometry, with interest in differential geometry, geometric analysis, hyperbolic geometry, higher Teichmüller theory, or related topics
- Participation in the scientific activities of the department, e.g. the Geometry and topology seminar, the Geometry and topology reading group
- Contribution to the teaching mission of the Department of Mathematics, amounting to approximately 45 hours of teaching per year
- Contribution to the outreach activities of the Department of mathematics
Your profile
- PhD of high quality in mathematics, in Geometry or closely related topics
- Research experience in at least one of the following topics: hyperbolic geometry, Teichmüller theory, geometric analysis, or the study of geometric structures or representations of surface groups
- Autonomous worker with good organizational and analytic skills
- Knowledge of either French or English is required
