Your role
- Support practical teaching activities in Chemistry (main focus) and Biochemistry, mainly for the teaching programmes in Medicine and Life sciences
- Prepare daily the practical teaching sessions
- Ensure the maintenance and servicing of teaching laboratories and equipment
- Ensure consumable management and reconditioning of the teaching room and equipment after use
- Perform ordering, inventory updating, cleaning and storage of the equipment
- Contribute to the updating of the teaching support documentation
- Contribute to the general safety and development of the laboratories
- Support public engagement activities requiring practical sessions
- Cooperate closely with and support the teaching staff
Your profile
- Minimal degree: Bachelor in chemistry/ biochemistry or related field
- Previous professional experience as chemistry/biochemistry laboratory technician
- Rigor, autonomy and organizational skills
- Ideally strong expertise in inorganic and organic chemistry and corresponding laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of biochemistry or molecular biology and corresponding techniques is an asset
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures
- Excellent practice of MS Office software and PC management
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Excellent practice of English (C1). Knowledge of French and/or German (B1) is an asset
