At our Rodange site in Luxembourg, we specialize in developing the "Computer-Aided Theatre" (C⋅A⋅T) safety control system, a state-of-the-art software, controlling the stage machinery in over 300 prestigious venues worldwide.
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Sales Department in Luxembourg. In this key role, you will prepare technical and commercial proposals. Your responsibilities will include performing project calculations, costing and pricing offers, reviewing tender documents, and developing technical concepts. You will also be in charge of price negotiations and ensuring a smooth handover to our Project Managers once the order has been secured.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing suitable control system solutions according to customer requirements, mostly based on public tenders and the respective solution concepts of our mechanical engineering partners.
- Manage sales projects during the tendering phase, acting as the main point of contact for our customers.
- Presenting and defending the proposed solution during tender evaluation and awarding processes.
- Understanding and applying international standards for functional safety and machinery safety in the field of stage technology.
- Analyse customer specifications and requirements for stage machinery control systems.
- Participate in exhibitions, sales events, and conferences to present our products and services.
- Installation of the control system on the stands at the exhibitions.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals including pricing, scope of supply, and project planning.
- Support Sales during tender processes, technical clarifications, and negotiation.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and site visits when required.
- Proactive market acquisition, actively identifying and approaching target markets to drive business growth.
YOUR PROFILE
· University degree in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics.
· 2–5 years of professional experience in technical sales, automation, control systems, machinery, or a related engineering domain.
· Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings and system architectures.
· Experience with control systems, rigging systems, motion control, or industrial automation is a strong plus.
· Ideally, you are familiar with the entertainment industry and the procedures on stage during the technical set-up, rehearsals and performances.
· Good comprehension of technical challenges, enthusiasm for developing technical concepts and solutions.
· Knowledge of the relevant norms, comprehensive understanding of the concept of "functional safety”.
· Confident use of Office tools and modern communication platforms.
· Strong analytical and costing skills.
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
· Strong written and spoken skills in German and English; French is considered a plus.
· Organized and rigorous.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple offers simultaneously.
· Interest in theatrical technology, show industry, or automation innovation.
· Experience using ERP tool, knowledge of SAP is a strong plus.
