A career within the Sustainability Assurance, Reporting, Consulting and Risk and Controls Team will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients. Our team is currently expanding, and we are seeking talented, high performing professionals with a sustainability technical background to take a leading role on delivering complex engagements.


Pwc Luxembourg is hiring a Sustainability Manager (m/f/d).

Your mission :   

As a Sustainability Manager, you will lead the teams who advise our clients, supporting them to bring their sustainability reporting to the appropriate level through defining the appropriate ESG strategy, performing effective double materiality assessments but also through an effective enhancement of their processes, risk and controls framework. 


Be a part of our team where you will :  

  • Manage audit engagements for international clients in various business sectors aiming at providing assurance on non-financial information related to Sustainability, including future CSRD and EU Taxonomy assurance.
  • Manage CSRD and EU Taxonomy regulation implementation / readiness assessment or limited assurance review projects. 
  • Act as a sustainability subject matter expert and support members of extended audit teams on complex technical enquiries. 
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Seek and embrace client opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives. 
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others. 
  • Be responsible for project management activities

Let’s talk about you. If you have … 

At least a bachelor and/or master degree in engineering, sustainability, or similar certification; 

Understanding of EU environmental regulations and extensive experience in ESG and sustainability-related topics. This includes exposure to some of the following topics :

  • EU regulations reporting 
  • Environmental regulations 
  • Carbon emission and energy management 
  • Carbon footprint measurement 
  • Climate risk assessment 
  • Understanding of sustainability frameworks, initiatives, and regulations, including but not limited to: Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), EU Taxonomy Regulation, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) amongst others. 
  • Proven experience in assurance, including the evaluation of controls over operational and/or financial (non-financial) processes. 
  • Advantageous to have knowledge of relevant ISO standards related to environmental management systems, corporate social reporting, or energy management systems. Examples include ISO 14000, ISO 26000, and ISO 50001. 
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to challenging situations and various profiles. 
  • Capable of coaching and leading a team. 
  • Fluent in English, and proficiency in other languages will be considered an asset. 
  • Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
