Junior Officer, Cash Collection (CDD 9 months)
Your role:
As a member of the Finance & Accounting team, you will support the organisation’s cash‑flow performance by monitoring client receivables, conducting follow‑ups on overdue balances, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate reporting. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate confidently with clients while sustaining professional relationships.
Accounts Receivable & Collection Activities
Monitor client accounts and identify overdue invoices using internal financial reporting and ageing schedules.
Contact clients to follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely approval and settlement of invoices.
Recommend the most effective collection action for each case, balancing assertiveness with relationship management.
Identify the appropriate client stakeholders for efficient communication and issue resolution.
Billing & Issue Resolution
Investigate discrepancies in invoices or payment records using historical billing data, supporting documentation, and project-level records.
Collaborate with internal business teams to resolve billing queries, credit issues, or disputes promptly.
Coordinate with legal partners for cases requiring escalated recovery or formal collection procedures.
Financial Documentation, Reporting & Analysis
Reconcile invoices, quotations, attendance sheets, and other supporting documents to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports, cash collection KPIs, and ad‑hoc analysis for management review.
Support forecasting activities by analysing collection trends and contributing to short-term cash‑flow expectations.
Maintain complete and accurate client collection files, communication logs, and documentation trail.
Process Support & Internal Coordination
Document and improve collection workflows and communication processes for efficiency.
Liaise with operational teams where payment delays are linked to project progress, deliverables, or documentation.
Profile & Competencies
Degree in International Business, Accountancy, Management, or a related discipline.
Experience in payment tracking, account reconciliation, cost variance analysis, KPI monitoring, and financial documentation.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, dashboards, and data analysis; experience with Power BI is an asset.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage client interactions professionally.
Solid understanding of billing processes, collection techniques, and financial reporting fundamentals.
