Accounting Supervisor DE - Internal | Close to Grevenmacher

Our client is a well-established Luxembourg-based private organization active in the health sector, with a strong local presence and more than 1,000 employees. Operating in a structured yet human environment, the organization provides a wide range of services focused on supporting people, promoting autonomy and improving quality of life.

As part of the continued development of its Finance function, the organization is looking for an Accounting Supervisor with a strong background in accounting and, ideally, previous exposure to consolidation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to move into a role combining hands-on accounting, supervision, technical expertise and financial analysis.

Accounting Supervisor - Responsibilities :

• Supervising the general ledger and ensuring its accuracy and integrity;
• Reviewing and validating day-to-day accounting operations;
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable activities;
• Monitoring payments, collections and bank reconciliations;
• Ensuring proper account reconciliation, justification and follow-up;
• Leading monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes;
• Preparing, reviewing and analysing financial statements and management reports;
• Participating in consolidation processes and ensuring the reliability of data for group reporting;
• Performing analytical reviews and investigating accounting discrepancies;
• Preparing and/or reviewing VAT and other tax filings;
• Acting as key contact for external auditors and supporting audit processes;
• Following up on audit findings and implementing recommendations;
• Providing technical guidance and support to the accounting team;
• Contributing to the improvement and optimisation of accounting processes;
• Supporting finance projects and internal initiatives;

Accounting Supervisor - Your profile:

• You hold at least a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field;
• You have at least 8 years of professional experience in accounting in an internal role;
• Experience gained within an internal accounting department, commercial company or multi-entity environment would be highly appreciated;
• You have already taken on responsibilities involving supervision, review or coordination of accounting activities;
• Previous experience with consolidation is a strong advantage;
• You have a solid understanding of accounting principles, closing processes and financial statements;
• You are proficient with accounting and standard office software;
• German and English mandatory, while French and/or Luxembourgish would be an asset;
• You are organized, autonomous and able to prioritize effectively;
• You have strong communication skills and are comfortable explaining technical accounting matters to different stakeholders;
• You are a team player who can also operate independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
