Conducting Officer Compliance- Alternative Asset Manager

Responsibilities & Missions

• Drive the Compliance, Regulatory, and AML Culture: You will step into the crucial role of Responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations (RC) for the AIFM and its managed funds. Taking ownership of this framework enables you to anchor the firm's regulatory integrity, protecting investor trust and positioning you as a highly influential leader within the business.
• Provide Strategic Leadership to Executive Boards: You will regularly advise the Conducting Officers Committee, the AIFM Board, and wider international stakeholders on the regulatory implications of new business developments. Delivering this high-level guidance ensures total alignment across global operations while elevating your professional profile directly alongside top-tier private equity executives.
• Spearhead Advanced Due Diligence & Structure Validation: You will manage compliance monitoring and oversee AML/KYC protocols on the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) of target portfolio companies during closing processes. Engaging deeply in these critical transactions guarantees robust risk management, turning your expertise into an essential asset for successful cross-border deal execution.
• Oversee Delegation, Branches, and International Regulators: You will conduct initial and ongoing compliance due diligence on service providers, oversee branches, and manage reporting lines to the CSSF and local regulators. This extensive oversight ensures complete harmonization across jurisdictions, providing you with invaluable exposure to complex international regulatory dialogues.
• Supervise Management Incentive Programmes (MIP): You will manage ongoing compliance and AML/KYC reviews for senior executive co-investment structures within portfolio companies. Providing sophisticated oversight on these premium wealth instruments maximizes compliance integrity and establishes your reputation as a versatile asset management specialist.

Candidate Profile

• Solid Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, or Accounting provides you with the technical framework needed to navigate complex regulatory environments with absolute confidence.
• Proven Funds & Compliance Background: Around 7 or more years of experience within alternative asset management-ideally involving a Luxembourg AIFM or ManCo-ensures you understand the nuances of alternative investment structures. Additional experience in the UK or Channel Islands is a welcome asset.
• Strong Regulatory Expertise: A comprehensive grasp of Luxembourg regulatory frameworks, CSSF expectations, and private equity AML/CFT protocols empowers you to handle complex compliance structures seamlessly.
• Collaborative Leadership & Adaptability: Excellent interpersonal skills, a calm demeanor, and a proactive mindset enable you to build meaningful relationships across diverse international teams.
• Professional Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for cross-border collaboration, while knowledge of other European languages opens doors to broader professional interactions.
