Funds Associate (Spanish Speaking) | International Law Firm

Our client is a leading international law firm with a strong presence in Luxembourg, advising an impressive portfolio of global asset managers, investment funds, financial institutions and multinational corporations. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Investment Funds practice with the addition of a Spanish-speaking Associate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded team working on sophisticated cross-border fund structures within a collaborative and international environment.

As a Funds Associate, you will advise international clients throughout the lifecycle of investment funds, from structuring and establishment through to regulatory compliance, transactions and ongoing operations.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior associates, you will be involved in complex, multi-jurisdictional matters for leading private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and alternative investment fund managers.

Your Responsibilities

• Advising clients on the formation, structuring and operation of Luxembourg investment funds.
• Assisting with the establishment of regulated and unregulated investment vehicles, including RAIFs, SIFs, SICARs and reserved structures.
• Drafting and reviewing constitutional documents, offering memoranda, subscription agreements and ancillary legal documentation.
• Supporting fund launches, closings, restructurings and liquidation processes.
• Advising on Luxembourg regulatory requirements applicable to investment funds and fund managers.
• Liaising with regulators, notaries, tax advisers, depositaries, administrators and other service providers.
• Working closely with colleagues across multiple international offices on cross-border transactions.
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Your Profile

• Qualified lawyer in Spain or another European jurisdiction.
• Between 2 and 6 years of experience in investment funds, asset management or financial services law.
• Experience gained within a recognised international or leading domestic law firm.
• Strong understanding of Luxembourg investment fund structures is an advantage, although candidates with solid funds experience from other jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.
• Native or fluent Spanish is essential.
• Excellent English communication skills; French is considered an asset.
• Strong drafting, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a proactive and client-focused approach.
