We are looking for a student who will join the Risk & Compliance's team.

 


Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Employment rate: Full-time or Part-time (80% - 1 school day per week)
Prerequisite : a tripartite internship agreement signed with your school

 

Your role

 

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and evaluations for both direct and indirect Private Equity & Real Estate (PERE) investments.
  • Support the risk management function in identifying, analyzing, and monitoring potential risks associated with the funds’ portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior professionals to develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate risk management measures.
  • Assist in the valuation process of PERE assets, including analyzing financial models, market trends, and comparable transactions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of risk reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory body.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of risk management procedures and valuation methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as investment, compliance, and operations, to ensure effective risk management practices are implemented.
     

Your profile

 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, valuation techniques, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with PERE investments and the associated risks is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. French language skills are an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
