One of the key missions of the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function is to conduct independent and risk-based investigations to protect the Bank's assets, reputation, and integrity, while ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) regulatory requirements.


As a Financial Crime Prevention Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the detection, assessment, and investigation of potential financial crime risks. This position requires strong regulatory knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, a genuine investigative mindset, and the ability to navigate complex situations involving AML/CFT, reputational, tax, and other financial crime-related risks.

Your next challenge:

  • Review, assess, and investigate cases involving potentially suspicious activity and financial crime concerns.
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence, background checks, adverse media reviews, and open-source intelligence research on prospects, clients, counterparties, and transactional parties.
  • Analyze customer profiles, account activity, transaction flows, corporate structures, and supporting documentation to identify red flags and assess potential risks.
  • Document, structure, and synthesize investigative findings, presenting well-supported assessment to the Compliance Incident Committee (CIC).
  • Gather and compile all relevant information required for the preparation and submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
  • Draft high-quality SARs/STRs based on comprehensive assessments of client activity, transactional behavior, and overall risk exposure.
  • Act as a key liaison with the FIU and support responses to regulatory inquiries and requests.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Front Office, Credit, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to support investigations and manage financial crime risks.
  • Keep abreast of evolving financial crime typologies, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.

Your skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML/CFT Investigations, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience dealing with financial crime matters, suspicious activity investigations, and high-risk client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, financial crime typologies, and investigative methodologies.
  • Knowledge of banking activities, legal structures, financial products, and client relationships is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in Front Office, Credit, Client Relationship Management, or other banking functions would be highly valued.
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of any additional European language would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong investigative mindset with a genuine interest in conducting research and uncovering complex financial crime patterns.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to connect information from multiple sources and formulate reasoned conclusions.
  • Strong synthesis and report-writing abilities.
  • Curiosity, resilience, sound judgment, and the confidence to challenge when required.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
