BDO Luxembourg is looking for a Cash Management & Credit Risk Officer to join to the internal Finance department.

Position Summary
The Cash Management & Credit Risk Officer is responsible for optimizing the Company's cash flow by managing accounts receivable, reducing credit risk, improving collection performance, and supporting treasury activities. The role combines operational cash collection, credit risk management, reporting, business partnering, legal recovery coordination, and continuous process improvement.
What will you do?
Cash Collection & Accounts Receivable
Manage customer accounts, handle accounts receivable, and ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Coordinate reminder campaigns and follow up on payment commitments.
Escalate overdue cases in line with the Cash Recovery Policy.
Negotiate payment arrangements and coordinate legal recovery when required.
Resolve payment issues in collaboration with Partners, Project Managers and client teams.
Credit Risk Management
Implement a client credit rating system.
Maintain and update client and group risk ratings.
Monitor payment behaviour, financial exposure and insolvency indicators.
Recommend credit terms, collection strategies and risk mitigation actions.
Monitor customer insolvency risks, in particular by conducting checks with the Luxembourg Commercial Register (LBR).
Cash Management & Reporting
Produce dashboards and KPI reports (DSO, ageing, cash collection, risk ratings, exposure, legal recovery and forecast accuracy).
Contribute to the preparation of PowerBI reports.
Present analyses and recommendations to Management and the Cash Recovery Committee.
Business Partnering
Advise Partners and business teams on receivable management and credit risk.
Promote timely billing, proactive collections and effective dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with the Company's Cash Recovery Policy and applicable legislation.
Process Improvement & Governance
Continuously improve collection processes, reporting, workflows and internal controls.
Contribute to the digitization of processes, particularly through AI.
Maintain the Cash Recovery Policy, credit procedures and risk models.
Coordinate with Partners, Treasury, Finance and external legal advisors.
Shared Service Center Coordination
Act as the primary liaison between Luxembourg and the AR Team in Morocco.
Occasional travels to Morocco to strengthen collaboration, monitor performance, deliver training and ensure consistent application of Finance procedures.
This position is for you if:
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Cash Management.
Experience in a professional services environment is an asset.
Team management.
Technical Skills
Strong accounting and credit management knowledge.
Advanced Excel skills; IA, Power BI and ERP experience are an advantage.
Knowledge of Luxembourg accounting and VAT principles.

Languages
English and French required.
