BDO in Luxembourg is looking for a Senior Product Owner in Marrakech.

Who are we?

CF Luxembourg Services is the Moroccan office of BDO Luxembourg, one of the largest global audit and advisory organisations. BDO is present in 166 countries and employs more than 115.000 people.

CF Luxembourg Services was created in 2022, with now more than 30 professionals in Marrakech and a fast growth, we offer our clients in Luxembourg high quality advice and service in audit, accounting, tax consultancy, financial engineering, human resources, and information technology.

We have one mission: offering our clients the collective expertise of an international network as well as a personalised service and valued relationship.

As a Product Owner within the Business Applications & ERP team, based in Marrakech, you will take functional ownership of the third-party (mostly SaaS) business applications used by BDO Luxembourg: their roadmap, administration and support. You will work closely with business teams in Luxembourg, internal IT and software vendors. Your main focus will initially be the BDO Global Portal, the platform used to communicate and securely share documents with our clients. You will also contribute to the administration and evolution of the team’s other business applications, including an identity and access management (IAM) platform for BDO employees. The role is centred on managing and evolving existing products rather than building custom applications from scratch. As a member of a small team, you will share responsibilities with your colleagues and act as their back-up, which will give you a broad view of our application landscape.

Responsibilities

Product ownership

  • Act as functional owner of the third-party business applications within the team’s scope, starting with the BDO Global Portal, the platform used to communicate and securely share documents with our clients: product vision, roadmap and evolution plan, aligned with business priorities, vendor releases and BDO Global guidelines.

  • Gather, analyse and prioritise requirements from business teams and clients; maintain the backlog of change requests and drive their delivery with internal IT, BDO Global and software vendors.

  • Administer and configure applications for specific business needs (client spaces, permissions, templates, workflows and settings), ensuring a secure and user-friendly setup.

  • Manage the lifecycle of the BDO Global Portal client spaces (creation, updates, archiving and decommissioning) and run regular reviews of portals and access rights.

Application support and continuity

  • Provide functional support for the team’s business applications (triage, incident follow-up, root-cause analysis and user communication), acting as an escalation point when required.

  • Act as back-up for your colleagues of the Business Applications & ERP team on the applications they manage, to ensure continuity of service.

  • Test and validate new releases, updates and configuration changes before they are deployed to users.

Identity and access management

  • Contribute to the administration of the no-code Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform for BDO employees: configure and adapt workflows (joiners, movers, leavers) and support stakeholders as the solution evolves.

  • Contribute to access governance across business applications: user provisioning, role definitions and periodic access reviews.

Continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams on automation and integration projects between applications (identity, document management, ERP and process tools).

  • Write and maintain functional documentation, user guides and training material, and communicate updates and roadmaps to users and stakeholders in Luxembourg.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and the use of business applications, including through automation and AI tools.

Must-have requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or application administrator on third-party business applications (ideally SaaS), working with multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Experience in application support and incident management, with the ability to coordinate the resolution of complex issues across internal teams and external providers.

  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with teams based in Luxembourg.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage several applications and priorities in parallel.

  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.

  • Comfort working with configuration-driven and no-code platforms and workflows.

Considered as an asset

  • Experience with client collaboration portals and document-sharing platforms.

  • Experience with an ERP or with finance and HR business applications.

  • Ability to configure platforms using low-/no-code approaches, and a solid understanding of how APIs work (integration concepts, data flows, authentication basics).

  • Knowledge of agile methods and tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID.

  • Understanding of identity and access management principles (roles, permissions, access reviews).

  • Previous experience in an audit, accounting or consulting firm.

What we offer

  • Become part of a global organisation with solid financial foundations, real ambition, entrepreneurial spirit and a clear strategy for growth;

  • Work within a multicultural, pleasant and dynamic environment;

  • Get an extensive training plan to develop your knowledge and skills.

In accordance with the provisions of the Luxembourg law of 23 July 2016 amending the law of 29 March 2013, candidates may be required to provide an extract from their criminal record.
