About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to join our Valuation Data Services team within the Fund Administration division of the bank.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of financial and market data used for fund valuation, NAV production, pricing, and regulatory reporting activities.
This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial instruments and valuation processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Market Data Management
- Manage and maintain securities master data and financial instrument databases.
- Control and validate market data including prices, FX rates, curves, ratings, and corporate actions.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of reference data across systems.
- Monitor and maintain data feeds from external market data providers.
Data Quality & Controls
- Perform daily data quality checks and reconciliation controls.
- Investigate and resolve valuation and pricing discrepancies.
- Ensure completeness, consistency, and reliability of valuation data.
- Support NAV production processes through accurate and timely data delivery.
Operational & Valuation Support
- Work closely with Fund Accounting, Valuation, and Operations teams.
- Participate in price validation and valuation control processes.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and regulatory reporting activities.
- Contribute to incident management and root cause analysis related to data issues.
Governance & Process Improvement
- Define and maintain data governance standards and procedures.
- Participate in automation and process optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and project teams on system enhancements and data integration projects.
- Support audit requests and regulatory compliance requirements.
Profile & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Fund Administration,
- Valuation,
- Market Data Management,
- Fund Accounting,
- or Banking Operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments and valuation processes.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with market data vendors and fund administration platforms.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
